A truck loaded with 24.7 tons of fresh longans from Thailand entered China via south Yunnan’s Hekou Port near the China-Vietnam border on Aug 4. This is the first time that Thai longan has been imported via Hekou Port.

This longans came from Thailand's Lamphun province and was destined for Changsha city, capital of central China’s Hunan province. It took only 3 days for them to travel from the Thai factory to Hekou Port.

Hekou county has actively expanded its trade with RCEP member countries throughout this year. 18 goods were imported for the first time, including Poria, sweet potatoes, pork skin, dried ginger, and cassia seeds.

Statistics show that in 2023, Hekou Port imported 4,312.7 tons of fruits from Thailand, with a total value of 150 million yuan.
