A Vientiane-Kunming direct fruit train reaches the Mohan dry port for clearance.

Located near the China-Laos border line, Mohan has seen 2.481 million tons of cargo imported and exported with a total value of 8.85 billion yuan, increasing by 69.3% in tonnage and 14.9% in value.

Since Mohan Town was put under the jurisdiction of Kunming, 13 new measures have been rolled out to quicken customs clearance for the cross-border freight trains, and now customs services are available on both weekdays and weekends around the clock.

Thanks to the advanced smart equipment, customs officers at Mohan can finish inspecting a train container within only a few minutes. With improved customs clearance, the international freight network based on China-Laos Railway has covered 13 countries and regions that are in the joint pursuit of the Belt and Road Initiative.
